My main is a shadow priest on a pvp server which I have actively played for a very long time. I have used her up through and including bosses in Sunwell.

I would like to share some good resources that I have used to help improve my damage and mana regeneration for my party. SSC/TK is the time to top the damage meters. The crafted gear is far superior to anything in that level. Use this opportunity to smoke everyone. Its fun, believe me. Once you get to BT/Sunwell, priest T6 doesn't scale well with other classes T6, and we become mana batteries primarily and our dps goes downhill, with the exception of some bosses.

Get the right gear, the right spec, and the spell rotation, and you will melt faces.

Here are 2 great sites to get you on your way.

Further details can be found in shadowpriest.com to explain anything you are unsure of. Just a note, 4/5 shadow weaving is enough, you don't need 5/5. As you get more and more spell hit, start removing points from shadow focus, and putting them in talents to improve your damage, especially mindblast. Making sure you are always hit capped though. 4/5 mindblast is enough until you get sufficient haste to benefit from the 5/5. Again find the details to that in shadowpriest.com

Spell Hit Caps:

* 76 hit is the cap with 5/5 Shadow Focus
* 101 hit before you can go to 4/5 Shadow Focus
* 126 hit before you can go to 3/5 Shadow Focus
* 152 hit before you can go to 2/5 Shadow Focus
* 177 hit before you can go to 1/5 Shadow Focus
* 202 hit before you can go to 0/5 Shadow Focus

All numbers rounded up to the next whole number.

1% hit = 12.6 hit rating at level 70.

I hope the shadow priests in our guild read this. Some specs need a little adjusting and so on. Just some helpful information if you want to take advantage of it.
